Contract Web Development, Inc. was founded in 2005 as a web development company. In 2007, the company expanded into search marketing which prompted the launch of a series of company-owned and operated community websites. Due to the explosive growth of this new branch of business, the web development portion of the business was phased out in 2012 to allow full focus on online publishing. The company is now operating entirely under the name Cover Story Media®, Inc.
